Is the Scottish First Minister overstepping the boundaries?

by becoming involved in the Donald Trump golf course/housing development issue? I know that as MSP for the area he has a right to an interest in the issue but it is not difficult to see that he is in favour of planning being agreed to despite the application being turned down by the council planners. Does anyone else feel that there is some underhand work going on here?

Forgive me for not actually answering your question - but isnt there always something underhand going on with politicians??

I think it is rather silly for a politician to become involved in this way because, even if there is no personal gain, it seems to the public that there is. Of course there may be planning gain for the community - I hope there is - but this should be made clear in the process and the politician need not be involved
