Has anyone successfully saved an RTF file as a PDF?

I am working on an application in MS Access, and the LOB has asked me to help them change the process from saving the Access report as an rtf file to saving it as a pdf file. I downloaded the SDK from Adobe, and have been trying to get it done, but the only thing being generated is a log file saying "Warning: Empty job. No PDF file produced." The log file is being placed in the directory where I want the pdf to go, so I know I am on the right track. Here is my code so far :

path = "N:\Docs\development\test_file.rtf"

Set pdfDist = New ACRODISTXLib.PdfDistiller

pdfDist.bSpoolJobs = True

optionsFile = "C:\ProgramFiles\Adobe\Distillr\Settings...

pdfDist.FileToPDF path, "C:\myTest.pdf", optionsFile

Looks like you are going about this wrong.

You can't distill RTF files. You can only distill PostScript files. That's why your jobs aren't running.

Adobe makes a cryptic reference to using StartDoc to convert your RTF to PS before calling FileToPDF.

Were I you, I would download the Samples Guide:

And look into AdobePDFSilent, which came in the SDK distro.
