Bias job interview @ a so called top rated hotel in Singapore?

Just want to share a bad interview experience between my male friend (in his 30s) and an arrogant, indifferent, not so young looking female hr asst at a so called well known top rated hotel on a rainy day. The hotel was some distance away from the mrt station. My friend wish to apply for the vacancy of server (restaurant/room service) and was told the position prefer a younger person. Next he inquired whether there is any other opening for him to fit in. The over confident *ya ya* hr asst simply replied no and show him a "you should leave now" face. My truly disappointed friend left without filling the application form. Is this the corporate culture one would expect from a hotel accredited for service excellence? Do you think this employer will give a damn about the training and development of their employee? How & where can report these bias employer in Singapore?

Yeah i agreed be humble when going for job interview. My friend was polite when he inquired the hr asst about the vacancy and did not expect that kind of face. There were so many other job applicants on that day. She could have asked my friend to leave his contact and try again next time for other vacancy.

This is very common when you go for job interview. This is just part of life, just too bad if you can't accept it. We need to be humber when go for an interview, and not the other way round.
