Previous | Next | Back to Messages Save Message Text | Full Headers Spam. Fake. You've been ripped off. If you didn't apply for this job, then it is a scam. Personally I have NEVER been offered a job before an interview.
Do not trust E-mail job offers
Do not give them your information before you check things out thoroughly
DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY. This looks good, but take it to Nigerian consulate near you or embassy near you.
See what the embassy is saying, if the employer is asking money up front, for processing the visa,----,----, and you are not dealing directly with consulate or embassy then chances are the offer is bogus.
There are lots of Schemer using Internet and Nigeria's good name for scamming the innocent people.
If a e_mail has (.gov) ending then it is a government entity that you are dealing with, chances of scam are rear.
Next reliable e-mail ending is (.org), it means an organisation usually not for profit.
But (.com or net ) is commercial or any thing. That country is notorious for being fraudulent.
NEVER EVER SEND YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE INTERNET. ENTIRELY BOGUS, DROP IT IN THE NEAREST DUSTBIN. it is correct. apply as indicated to the immigrant department and verify the varacity. then if u satisfy proceed further. all the best. Scam for sure as sheraton e-mail i.d. will not end with @chef.net and you do not spell sheraton as SHARATON Sharaton??? Damn, I thought the hotel's name is Sheraton, but never mind :))
Since they are so poor in terms and English, I believe it's a scam, but ask on http://www.oil-offshore-marine.com/bewar... see what they tell you. Very nice. This scam artist has better English than most of them (aside from the first line).
Trick is if you didn't apply for the job, never sent your resume for one, then it's probably a scam. Why lower yourself to an imaginary Sheratan? Wait for the imaginary Four Seasons to give you a job. ask for 6 months advance salary Hey pal,
I have a similar one in my mailbox. It says it is from Standard Chartered Bank. The common factor is the contact person at the Nigerian Immigration Services, Mike Ademola.
This is replete with the agreement/contract letter sent as a scanned copy.
I contacted Nigerian Embassy in N. Delhi. The only words they uttered were, "It is a fraud. If it is a job offer from Nigeria on the mail, then it is fraud."
I can understand what u might be feeling.
I am pretty sure the offer must have been for some lacs of dollars per annum.
Dunno if it is fake.
But if it is. Then sure some fabulous work by the guys. The contract appears to be pretty well made.
